Help, alarm wont stop going off

OK, i searched and never found an answer so here we go. My car was parked at a hotel and they kept calling me telling the alarm was going off. I had the key and was miles away so I assumed someone tried to break in but there were no signs so I didnt think much of it. Now this morning the thing is going off non stop. I had just walked out to turn it off and was standing right next to it when it went off again.

I have the switchblade key and I'm not sure how to pull the battery but like I said i haven't been in range of the car so I don't think it is the remote. Anyway else have this problem or more importantly a solution?

Wow....that is a hard one to diagnose! Temp solution...disconnect the battery to shut it up before your neighbors start tossing bricks!

That is weird though....possibly a bad door sensor switch that tells the computer if the door is ajar or something? But that would show on the dash as a door open even when it was closed...so that doesnt make sense either. Hmm....giving it some thought....if I can think of anything else...I will chime in. It sounds like a simple electical short somewhere though that is setting off the system.

Thanks Michael. I was thinking a door sensor as well but then it wouldnt arm if it thought it was open. Then again it just does it randomly (didnt go off all night) but wont stop this morning :-(

I was thinking of disconnecting the battery so the ppl at the hotel don't kill me and I guess unshaving the drivers door handle if you will ha

open the door and look for a plastic rubber thing with ridges on it that presses in on the door jamb near the vin/info sticker. Press it and and make sure it isn't bent. Sometimes it can bend and cause this. Also open and close the hood to make sure it latches properly.

Thanks for all the responses and sorry for posting in the wrong section but I knew it would get seen quicker and I really needed this thing to stop going off. I noticed it didnt want to lock and got in it and noticed the passenger side back door was showing as open. I went and pushed the button on the door but it doesn't seem to be working. I locked all the doors by hand and the alarm didnt seem to arm and later drove the car and everything is fine now. Really weird but I have a feeling it's going to start going crazy again :-(
