Heated seat indicator - driver side

Hi Folks...

I always follow this forum for any problems with Acuras. I have a '06 Acura TL 3.2 w Navi....I like it..but i just noticed that when i turn on the instrument lights/parking lights, the driver side heated seat button does not light up. the passenger side backlight lights up but not the driver side...

is this a common issue and whats the quick fix for it? im a DIY type guy..is it something i could do myself, if so, please advise.

Thanks
ardent_guy.

Same bulb burnt out in our 05. I'm guessing you just need to remove the center console to replace it.

thanks vinuneuro...is it easy to do it by myself? if i take it to a shop, how much would it cost? I see no screws around it, so if i took it out, would it get messy to put it back together?

I would guess they would bill an hour or two. How much does that lack of light annoy you?

I would guess that most of the pieces pop into place. Try it yourself i'd say.

Mine got busted or burned...

Since I do not know why, one of my pen disappear and went into a tube underneath the console and passenger seat, so, the dealership had to remove the console, and while doing so, the lightbulb on the driver side switch got busted or burned...

They've replaced mine...

Same thing happened on my passenger side. Had it fixed under warranty. Else it would have been $65.

The thing is a pain to replace. Have the shop do it for you. If you break a plastic piece or the trim..you will be sorry.
