I have a 2004 Acura Tl and have searched and know that it may be a ballast or ignitor but I was wondering if anyone has had similar symptoms. To start with I know the bulbs are good since I have already switched sides. So basically I have narrowed it down to the only time the headlight works is when the bulb socket is taken off and put back on in which the light only works once. So if you take the socket off and then on, then turn the headlights on it works fine but then either you shut the car down or turn the light off and then on it no longer works. UNLESS you take the socket off of the bulb and turn it back on. It also works if you unhook the battery instead of the socket. Is there some other way i can narrow it down instead of swapping parts from side to side? Thanks in advance Justin

 

I ended up taking the headlights out and swapping the parts to narrow it down. It ended up being the ignitor assembly is working intermittently. So if anybody has a headlight that works sometimes I would say that is your best bet....

 

Having the same issue with my 05 Acura TL. Only one of my projectors is turning on, but both of the middle lights turn on. Does anyone know how much the igniter assembly runs?

 

Check the Black market, might find 1 cheap there. I've seem them run 50-75 on ebay
