Headlight Lens (very graphic)

Here's the story behind these nasty headlights. A few months ago i decided to clean up my stock headlights by using a meguiars headlight kit with a drill attachment. The harsh marks on the lights are from this drill attachment, guess my drill was too powerful and created these marks. Once I saw the marks forming i stopped but unfortunately this headlight turned out really bad. Im hoping I can wet sand down with 600 grit and then polish them up to get the marks out.

Then I decided to do the headlight mod by blacking them out from the insides. You can see there is a "ghost" from my HIDs only when turned on. I cant tell whether this is on the inside or on the outside. Anyways, both headlights are bad but this passenger headlight is much worse. I cant tell whether this is fixable with wet sanding or if it is on the inside. What can I do?

Obviously there is condensation in the headlight. We had a HUGE rainstorm/downpour which caused a lot of flooding. However, this has been the first time ive seen condensation in the headlights

*Mods not sure which section to post in.

Go get them professionally cleared by JNC or one of our other vendors.

Or get a new set and call it a day.

^ That will probably be the best option.

Would wet sanding with 400 grit be too harsh for plastic? I originally used 1000grit. Do you think it is more of a problem of the outer lens or inside?

Alternate suggestion: get them cleaned by Sam's Club automotive department. Either $20/$30, and they do an excellent job and apply the UV protectant. 5-year warranty (assuming you remain a member). I had mine done 6 months ago and they look perfect.

you can sand the headlight down starting with 1000 grid then work your way up to 1500, 2500 and 3000 grid (make sure keep the lenses wet at all time). I see that you are using too much pressure on the drill which create heat (hot spot). I use meguiars DA pro series to clean the lense and the result was great.

Now that's it's all shiny again, go get some clear "tint" on them. Will protect from rock chips, UV damage, and will keep them shiny for YEARS to come.
