Head Light Prob!!

okay so im trying to figure out how to disasemble the head light so that i can take the glass projection for the head light.
basically i got into an accident and had to replace my left headlight, but when they replace the left headlight (whole unit) the projection was alot brighter than the right one. so i went to the dealer and they said that it was the same headlight same number same id but different lot. meaning they were still different. so i went back to the collision center and they said they will have to talk to my insurance and that could take a little while. I DONT HAVE A LITTLE WHILE!!! so i thought of an idea to take the old light since they still had the part and i would just disasimble it and put the projection glass to the new unit. and have the same light projection hence saving me time and money!!! ANY IDEA ON HOW or DO YOU HAVE THE MANUAL TO SHOW ME HOW TO DISASEMBLE THE LEFT HEADLIGHT UNIT!?? thanx guy i would greatly appriciate it!

The only way to disassemble the headlight is to put it in the oven and open the housing. I tihnk it might just be the new hid bulb that they have in there that could be making the difference, since the old HID bulb has already been seasoned (broken in), the other one is still brand new, I'd assume. Maybe you can try just replacing the new hid housing with the hid bulb from the old unit if it is still intact.
