Hard pedal--PLEASE HELP!

Ok i change the app sensor about a 2 month or so because of the p2138 (app sensor). 2 weeks ago i have noticed a hard pedal and slow acceleration like other cars got better respond then my tl even 90' cars :-(. Cars feels like something holding the engine something like breaking the car when i let go the pedal at hight rpm car brakes (i know some sensor yeah). Changing gears sometimes rpm goes up to 2.8 or higher sometime i need to let go the pedal to change gear on highway i gotta press hard the pedal to go faster. Going uphill car feels like 10 fat peoples its in it and to change gear rpm goes about 3k and stay at 3rd gear. Could this be the app sensor its bad or something else worst thing the tranny going bad? Please helllp

When you changed it did you adjust the throttle wire at all? If it has slack in it that could cause what you are describing. Because its so easy to get to, I would double check your work visually. Then push the sensor open by hand, see if its hard to move. Did you buy an oem app?

I think I remember a thread on here about someone having to replace their drive by wire too. I can't find the thread, but they do go bad too.

Ahhh, hang in there sounds like you will have a new car before too long! The app looks good, the wire gets rusty and old inside, where you cant see, and causes drag. I don't think its too expensive or hard to DIY replace. Wait, is the car still going into limp mode after you replaced the app?

Not clearing the code will not make it continue to limp.

No, it just stores in the computer that is went to limp mode. It has to be the wire, there is nothing else that would make the petal hard to press besides the app and the wire. There is one on ebay for $40.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/04-08-TL-Accelerator-Throttle-Speed-Control-Wire-Cable-Link-Linkage-OEM-/251853277322?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Make%3AAcura%7CModel%3ATL&hash=item3aa3a0088a&vxp=mtrNot sure what the dealer charges for one.

You think that a bad axle could cause this? If not buying a cable on ebay soon

I'm not as knowledgeable about axles as I wish I was, but I don't see how anything other than the app or the wire making it hard to press the gas petal. I understand the symptoms of a bad axle being vibrations at all speeds and noises. Nothing really to do with the petal. Just thinking outside the box before you spend money. What about a stuck caliper? It would do nothing to the gas petal feel, but would address your complaint of 10 fat people in the car while going up hill... Just a quick jack up each tire and spin by hand will test that. Make sure the car is in neutral, block the wheels, and jack up one at a time and spin. I'd hate for you to spend time and money if we are chasing the wrong thing.
