Unhappy HandsFreeLink "Booting Up"

I gave someone a jump and ever since then my handsfree link is not working. I see the "Booting Up" message on my dash.

I know there are hundreds of threads on this issue however I am not trying to spend $400+ to fix the issue. Does anybody have a quick fix or at least a cheaper fix?

I got my dealership to cover 90% of it as a good-will thing; I paid like $40. Worth a try, it might not work though.

Before I got it fixed I just went without for about a year. You might be able to find a used one on e-bay? Not sure though.

I have seen them on eBay closer to $200 or contact one of the OEM parts vendors to see what they can do for you. It will kill your battery if you don't disconnect or replace it soon. It's an easy 5 min fix to disconnect it and will save you from having to buy a battery.

Yes, best to replace the Hands Free Link (Bluetooth) unit, for @$170 from one of the vendors here. It'll take about 10 minutes or less for you to replace the old HFL with the new one following the directions in the TSB or the HFL threads here.

Welcome to AZ.

+1 Got mine for $180, took less than 10 minutes to swap and it has worked fine for 6 months.
