it has started a couple weeks back, everytime when i turn on the car either in the morning or after work when the car has been off for a while, i will hear this grinding/squeaking sound when i turn the steering wheel, but everything runs fine after a while and noise stops. so i took it too pep boys and the guy said everything looked alright but could use a new drive belt and an power steering flush and is charging $230 ($130 for drive belt + installation) for all. is this fair price? and is this the cause of the problem?...belt looks kinda old

 

How many miles is on your car?

Does the grinding/squeaking occur when you start the car and turn the wheel as your backing up? Or does it just occur when you start the car and don't even touch the steering wheel?
