Exclamation Grinding noise!!!

When i was driving yesterday i could hear a grinding noise like under my car. My buddy says its the break pads bc it has rained the past couple of days but i dont know about that. When i turn the wheel left or right the noise goes away. Then when i hit a couple of bumps the sound is gone and has not come back. So im not sure if my buddy was right about the brake pads. When i stepped on the brakes the sound did not go away. Does anyone have any idea what it could be?

Check the plastic around your wheels. One of them may have come off, and when you drive, the wind sends it at your wheel and it may grind. When you turn or hit bumps, it may go back into place temporarily.

Check under the car, there could be anything. But if mechanical, it will need further analysis.

get smarter friends
Then remove the wheels and caliper to actually inspect the brake pads
Any noises should be looked at right away- if you cant do it- let a pro check the car over and advise
How many miles on the car now?

thats about right for your car. 70% of the braking comes from the fronts
Every time you push the pedal it wears away pad material- stop and go driving eats brakes.
Spirited driving...wears brakes and tires, bad roads wear suspension

But at this point all you have is a noise- no one has actually removed the wheels and checked whats happening- is that correct?
Thats the next step

Correct no one has actually taken off the wheels and check it yet... im going to do that on friday... im going to bring it to the dealer on friday and have them check it out bc its still under warranty. I did have town fair and tire put on new rims and tires. But that was like a month ago.

figures a tire shop would not inspect the brakes at all~
The dealer can check it out and replace as needed-
NO its not a warranty item on pads at 25K
And if you have been dragging the squeeler tab into the rotor- expect far more damage than just needs pads
