Green Key Blinks 5 Times - Car Won't Start! ARG!
Hello, I just bought a used 2004 Acura TL. I was loading CD's into the CD changer and it locked up. I turned the key off and turned the car back on and finished loading my CD's.
Then, I tried to start my TL and it won't start all of a sudden. When the key is turned off, there's a green key that blinks 5 times.
What the heck is going on with my car?!? Please help!!

I've attempted to unplug the battery (for about 5 minutes) and plugged it back in, but it still would not start. The car only came with one key so I am unable to try a different key.

Also, everything works on the car. All the lights turn on and everything else is fine. I attempted to jump it off and that didn't even help. When I turn the key, there's a click. When I release the start attempt, you can tell it un-engages whatever is clicking. This is maddening. I am assuming this is some security feature due to the key icon and my googling of the symptoms?

You may have to have a locksmith or car dealer reprogram the key-- if you are an Auto Club member, it might be able to help.
For approximate costs, see this thread: https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/question-about-key-replacement-853137/
FYI, there were 2 remote fobs, 2 regular keys and a valet key that came with each TL.
