Gotta' fix this before I get a new one :P

A few questions/problems for you guys.

- Alignment and tire rotation: yesterday
- New front pads (Duralast C-maxes) + resurfaced rotors: <2000 miles ago.

1) I got an alignment yesterday and had my tires rotated. Here's my problem, the car feels shaky, almost unstable..I don't know how to describe it exactly but it doesn't feel right. What could it be?
* The steering wheel also feels shaky if that helps at all.

2) My car pulls (HARD) to the right when braking with moderate/severe force. With the brakes lightly applied, everything seems normal. This just began happening 2 days ago and it's scary as hell! It feels as if the car's tripping over itself or something! The only way to describe it is that, when I'm going straight and I apply the brakes with moderate force, the car pulls to the right and the rear feels like it's kicking out a little or tripping over itself.

3) The car feels bumpy when I'm driving on a smooth road, especially at low speeds. It's kind of like having a flat or driving on a bumpy road even though the road is smooth.

4) My car is making a high-pitched squealing sound often without braking. It goes away when turning the wheel to the left. It's there while accelerating and sometimes even while coasting on the highway. It's rare that it's not audible, I hear it almost every time I drive my car. It makes no sense, I just put in new pads and re-did my rotors less than 2000 miles ago!

5) My alignment specs aren't the exact same from side to side, is that a problem? Do they have to be perfectly equal?

6) I'm running 245/40/17 Nexen N3000 tires all around, what is the correct tire pressure since these are larger than the stock tires?

Please help me guys, I'm honestly somewhat scared to drive the car now!

I scanned my alignment sheet and I wanted to post it, can someone tell me how to do that?

Post-Alignment Specs:

1) Front Left
Caster = 2.1
Camber = -0.7
Toe = 0.00

2) Front Right
Caster = 1.6
Camber = -0.7
Toe = 0.00

3) Rear Left
Camber = -0.4
Toe = 0.10

4) Rear Right
Camber = -0.7
Toe = 0.15

I wonder if this will help explain any problems that I'm having.

Look into replacing the front lower control arm bushings. I replaced mine and ithelped out a bunch although I still feel some bumps but it is much reduced. Note that my car is lowered, however.

Hmm, is that something that I could do myself? And what would this help; the bumpy ride that I'm feeling?
I'm really tight on money these days. I keep buying things to fix the car and things keep falling apart.

go back to the shop that you got your tires rotated and have them balance them.
I suspect this, since you just got your tires rotated and you said you didnt have this problem before.

Also, who ever did your brakes, you need to go back over their work. the caliper might be stuck. might explain why when you brake it veers to right when braking.
if not a stuck caliper, rebleed your brakes.

How is the level on your power steering fluid? It could possibly be something wrong with your power steering rack. Are you leaking any fluids?

I'll try and get my tires balanced today to see if it helps.

Well it's been almost 2000 miles since they did my brakes and last time I took it in for the squealing they blamed it on the C-maxes (which makes no sense).

I hope those bastards don't expect me to pay for this if it's there fault.

I'll check the fluid today. Power steering rack? That doesn't sound good...As far as I know, I'm not leaking any fluids.

Well, we think the rear tires want to kick out because I didn't re-install a washer when putting in my camber kit. In theory, this left the screw to just move around thus letting the camber arm/tire move back and forth under hard braking.

I wish I had my own jack and tools.
My alignment shop is about 15-20min from my house. I'd take it there immediately in the morning but the problem is that the car is terribly unstable. The rear pulls out/kicks out even at low speeds while braking now. It's pretty damn scary.

bam, I think the missing washers on my camber kit are causing my issue.

"So I finally had time to bring my car in this morning to get checked up for alignment....after they told me it was my brakes causing the issue they finally put it on the lift to take a look underneath.....

turns out the fucking honda dealer never torqued the bolts for my camber kit when they installed it. In fact, two of the bolts were missing nuts on the other side....basically any large bump andboth my control arms could have fallen off. Since my suspension was essentially not correctly bolted together, no wonder why I was having the issue in the first place. I gave the service manager a nice phone call right away telling him it was a load of shit what they did and I refused to pay for it...."

In regards to #2, I had the same issue that just got fixed! I didn't ask what was wrong or was really paying attention because I was so fascinated with the paint booth lmao. It had something to do with the rear wheel/suspension, something was loose. If you're still having trouble, I could stop by the body shop and ask what was wrong with my car because it sounds like we had the exact same issue. When I whip it around 218 it felt as if the back end just wanted to wiggle around the turn instead of being smooth. When I brake hard, it feels as if the right front brake was pulling much harder than the left. Hope this helps

Yeah dude, if you could please!
I made the trip to my high school auto shop today and installed the washers. It definitely made the car more stable and less "excited" in the rear. I'll be hitting up the alignment shop in about an hour to see if all's well.

*EDIT -
Does anyone have any idea what the high pitched squeal might be while I'm driving with no brakes applied?

as far as the "bumpy" driving. First check all the obvious solutions...I always felt like my steering wheel was vibrating and it felt like the tires were unbalanced.(even though they where) while looking around we noticed the half shaft was a little wabally . upon closer observation we noticed the bearing was beggining to warp. After replacing that bearing. The car drives great. No more vibration in the steering wheel and no sense of unbalanced tires.
as far as the noise maybe its the washer for the power steering pump. you should replace it anyway the parts under a $1 (there is a diy/ i think is called power steering noise fix) lets hope its not the pump itself.

as far as pulling hard . Is your car lowered? You may need to get a camber kit. Im not exactly sure why it happens only when the brakes are applied..

hope some of this helps.. GL
