Gas pump constantly shutting off...
I've had this problem for awhile, but haven't taken the time to diagnose it. Now that it's colder out, it is more inconvenient.
I have a 2004 TL. When I gas up, the gas pump keeps kicking off every 5-10 seconds. I basically have to keep squeezing and unsqueezing the handle for the entire fill-up.
The car runs fine, but do you think there is some kind of blockage in the gas tank? Something causing gas to splash back up and signal the pump to shut off prematurely?
As a side note, and perhaps unrelated but worth mentioning, the float that tells how full the gas tank is reads off a little. When the car is completely full, the needle is indeed on "F" but it leaves the "F" quickly - within 25 miles of driving. And when the computer tells me I have 1 mile until empty, I have driven up to 80 miles further and even then, when I filled the tank, it only took fewer than 15 gallons to fill.

Nope, not really worth mentioning.

It's totally, 100% normal. Everyone's does this. It's the design. Basically there is a "reserve" of about 3 gallons.
