^Do you tighten it until you hear a few clicks?

EVAP Canister Purge Valve. (http://techinfo.honda.com/rjanisis/pubs/SB/B09-056.pdf)

I replaced mine couple weeks back and it's gone. Interesting note, the part I pulled off was made in Mexico had a MEX in front of the part number, the part I put on was made in Japan.

I have the same problem. If car is not under warranty you will be looking at $150 to fix at Acura.

I thought that the evap canister would be covered by the 8 year/80K mile emissions equipment warranty. Warranty would likely apply to OP's '08 TL.

They checked mine & said they fixed it, no charge. It's come back a couple weeks later so I'm going to buy the part & change it myself.

I have an 07. from my understanding its 7 year 70k powertrain. I will call my dealer and find out about the emissions warranty.

Yes, you're correct: it just says "Normal warranty" applies on the TSB.
Hopefully that still applies for OP.

Although various other emissions control parts are covered for 7/70 or 8/80 by the emissions control warranty in CA, the only Evap System component covered--7 years/70K miles-- is the fuel tank.

BTW, in order to view any TSB, we have to go to the TSB sticky thread and go through the selection steps before a TSB link will work.

It's worth a try but I strongly doubt it. Look at the TSB I posted and see if you have the symptoms listed.

Known issue with the gas tank vent valve. Dealer fixed this for me quickly and for free after I mentioned the TSB.
