Front turn signal circuitry

Quick question AZ,

Recently, my driver's side turn signal has been working only on days it feels like it. I removed the 92 SMT LED bulb and tested it with an external 12V power source and they work perfectly fine. I ruled out defective bulbs.

I noticed that when I nudge the LED bulb in the socket around, it fully blinks and sometimes it doesn't blink at all in certain positions. My diagnosis is that the metal in the turn signal socket is defective.

I do want to point out that my car is a 2005 and that the turn signal socket is an 1157 so the 3 wires (parking, ground, turn) were soldered on so I ruled out a defect in there since the solder was pretty solid.

So am I correct in that the socket is defective? I'm about to go to my local dealer and grab another one; they have one in stock.
