Front Sway bar link replacement dremel?

My sway bar links are busted to the point that when using an allan key and wrench its spins cuz the rubber is rotted and now its stuck. I tried using a torch which didnt help at all.

Before i invest in one will a dremel tool be my savior does anyone have experience with this situation?

A cheap method is to go to Harbor Freight get their electric cutoff wheel grinder and use that to cut the links off. Please wear eye safety and not your safety squints!

Dremel is way to little. As srg818 said something like an angle grinder with a metal cutoff wheel will do the trick. I've also seen where needle nose vise grips are used to hold the back side with impact wrench on the nut. (since the links are toast anyway.) Next to my electric impact wrench my angle grinder is my second favorite tool in the garage. So many uses for it around the home... +100 for safety glasses too

Yep, cutoff wheel.... and instead of safety glasses, I'd recommend safety googles. I'd also recommend a dust mask as your nose and mouth will be in the middle of a cloud of metal shavings while you're cutting.

I used a Craftsman 19.2V cordless grinder. I bought a generic 7" cutoff wheel from Menards. I think you'll want at least a 6" cutoff wheel for this job. You might get by with a 5" wheel, dunno. Others that have been there might have a more recent memory...

Use an air cutoff wheel if compressor is available. On bolts/nuts that are rounded, use the cutoff wheel to make 2 flats on each side, then you can use wrenches, and a cutoff wheel does the job in a hurry.
