Question Front and PS Motor Mounts, which to use?

My front and passenger side motor mounts are totally shot. Clunky all over the place, etc.

looking up the OEMs gives me these:

Acura Parts @ AcuraOEMparts.com - Genuine Acura OEM Parts from Delray Acura

011 50820-SEP-A21 RUBBER ASSY. $57.19

012 50830-SEP-A21 RUBBER ASSY., FR. $159.85

$217.04 total

And while this is fine, RockAuto Parts Catalog has these parts:

passenger side mount, ANCHOR Part #9297 $20.99

front mount, hydraulic, DEA Part #A4526HY$47.79

$68.78 total

Both are listed as most popular parts.

Any reason to skip the OEMs and get these and save a ton of money?

Go with the Rockauto replacements. I did. They work fine.

As far as I know, those numbers are right and the quality is close enough to stock. If you want to spend your money on (in this case) over priced parts, go ahead!

I just recently had the popcorn sound from passenger side engine compartment. At the time I was blaming it on the cold. (Near zero.) Replaced PS engine mount with the Anchor one from Rockauto. Wow, what a difference. My MT even shifts smoother now when letting out the clutch. As others have said, it is like new. I am wondering how long it was really bad before making any sounds. And btw, I didn't remove the bracket from the engine, just took a bit of "convincing" (and just a nudge with a jack/wood on the oil pan) to get the mount out and in, but wasn't difficult at all. The old mount was SHOT. I could flex it all around with just my fingers.

So I have been creeping on here and don't post that often, I am looking at ordering the rockauto mounts myself. Can someone help me out, do both the front and rear mounts have vacuum ports?

Thank you...Gav

Yes. OEM style mounts for both sides of the engine will have vacuum assist ports.

Yes, but that's on A/T models only.
