Front passenger window wont roll up!

as the title says, the front passenger window wont roll up. It makes a weird clicking sound when i press the button to roll it up or down, i called the dealership and they it would cost $350 to fix

is there a cheaper way to fix this? any help would be nice

I thought you sold your TL's. Anyways.. first culprit is the window channel and seal. Take the door panel off and make sure nothing is hindering it. Second is the regulator / motor. It costs $86 @ acuraoemparts. You can check for continuity at the posts to verify it needs replacement.

I have the same problem.. person who sold it to me said it was a bad switch, but after researching on here, I determined it was a bad regulator. Just bought and installed a new regulator and it was working fine until I hit auto down. It would only roll half way up after that. I got a friend to pull on the window as it went up, and it shifts like a centimeter to the right, getting it caught up on the weather stripping. maybe. I can't really tell. My theory is the auto function throws the window out of whack, and fills my mind full of fuck. I really wish I could fix this so I can get my windows tinted :'(

Does the window seal bunch up and window come to a stutter before going back down?

It does seem to bunch up. It's not so much as a stutter as it is a "welp, I'm tired and just can't go on any longer. I give up. FML"

maybe an important note.. that window seal is fucked, because the road noise has been bad ever since I got the car. It sounds like the window is cracked a tiny bit when it's all the way up. Can't really tell where the noise is coming from because I'm always driving.

The alignment is off.

It'll take you some time to line it up.. get some shin-etsu grease and line the seal when everything is in order. If you're really fed up, you can take it to the dealership but I can't promise you that they'll play nice.

What's the best way line it up? and how would the grease help the road noise? It's like there's a gap in the seal somewhere.

and thanks for your responses. if I would have read them sooner, it would have saved me $100

There are tons of bad switches on these cars, but never heard of an issue on the window switches. Mostly transistors and sensor related switches.. not too many mechanical switch issues.
