Front passenger seat belt warning not working?

I recently had the front passenger seat belt holster replaced by the dealer as it was making alot of noise. (rattle)

Of course to do the swap, they had to remove the seat- then reinstall in order to complete the repair of the belt holster.

I noticed last weekend that a passenger was riding in the car without their seatbelt on - and the car was not complaining.

Does anyone know if the car is supposed to warn that the passenger is not wearing their seatbelt? Mostly concerned for other impacts if this system is not working porperly- i.e. airbag doesn't go off properly or something if the car doesn't think anyone is in the seat.

Appreciate it-

For the passenger side it only tells you if the airbag if off via the light in the center of the dash.

Sorry for the slight thread hijack. But it kind of pertains to this. Now as Eternal was talking about the airbag light. If no one is sitting in the passenger seat, should that light stay on? Because mine turns on when I start that car then turns off after like 10 seconds. Is that normal?

I think you are incorrect. My 06 TL used to beep when I had a passenger without a seat belt on (so did the 06 Accord), but today I found out that it stopped doing it.

I had a TSX loaner and that car beeped when the passenger didn't wear their seatbelt. I don't think the TL does this.

I was at the dealership today with the seat belt remainder. I test drove 2 06 TL and the seat belt remainder for the passenger did not go off; however, the tech told me it should go off.
He is going to call the tech line on Monday to double check this with one of the engineers from Honda.

I just reviews a Quick Start Guide and it stats:
Seat belt reminder light: Fasten seat belts. If you drive with you or your passengers seat belt unfastened, it flashes and a chime sounds.

I have an 06 and it only chimes when the driver doesn't wear the seat belt, It has never chimed or gave a dash light warning if the passenger does or doesn't wear their's
