I'm having a problem with my 04 TL. The front overhead driver's side light comes on intermittently, paticularly when I'm making a turn, which is then followed by a audible ding. What do you think is causing this?

 

It sounds like the door switch for the lights might be misadjusted/dirty. When the car body shifts/frame twists, the switch thinks you opened the car door (light goes on) with the key in the ignition ("ding" tone).

A couple of threads mentioned this before. Try cleaning the contact points and turning that door switch in its housing to see if that corrects the problem.

 

yea the latch on the door jam needs adjustment. in more so that it holds the door panel snug to the button
