Question Front License Plate

Hey guys im new to this forum stuff, i just got the TL and noticed when i was putting on my license plate that there was a sweet engraved acura name underneath. So i took the plastic off and saw these two holes that looked like there could be some cap made for that. Question is: Does anyone know where i can get them caps?!

You can purchase them at your local dealer ... but those small plastic caps are about 20 dollars ... just for two small pieces of plastic @___@

ooorrrr you can go to your local dealer's service department with a frustrated look on your face and demand for some free license plate hole covers since it should have come with the car which I should have done ...

Well if you are lucky they will either be in the glovebox or possibly back with the spare tire, if they are not there your dealership kept em or tossed em. your dealer should be able to give you a set, as a last resort you can get them from your parts dept.

I didn't have any included in my car. So I called my salesman and told him that I was missing the caps and my friends have boughten TLs who had the caps included in the glove box. He calls me back and says to stop by the dealership to pick them up. He gave me FOUR! =)

Don't buy them. They are supposed to give them to you when you bought the car. Tear in to them until they give them to you.

Tell them take them off the next car that comes in that matches your color. Talk to your salesman.
Remind them that they come with the car that YOU paid for. It's not their call to toss them out.

These caps are to cover the wholes that are drilled into your front bumper? If it is possible, can someone take a picture of this?

A LOT of parts say Honda on them if you really start to look. This is because it is really just a Honda.

Yes, I was actually going to ask him to pick up a set for me, but don't want to sound too pushy. I hope he's reading my reply now and be a good acurazine member

You wont' be being pushy. They OWE them to you. You paid for them. They are standard equipment with every car.

Try a couple of dealers if you need to.

You should double check the glove box and the Spare tire area in case they're in there.

If you absolutely have to, you can purchase them from an Acura Dealer/Parts Store.

When I bought my car I did not want the front plate bracket which was already installed. They removed that and put it in the trunk. The detailers could not find any spare caps and it was getting late.

My salesman went ahead and asked one of the techs the next day if they had any extras and they did from the PDIs. I got the caps the day after I bought the car.

~$11 each if you buy 'em. BUT, they *should* come with the car - you already paid for them once.

Got the bumper plugs from the dealer today. Seems like they have a lot because license plate is required in Vancouver so they just take them off for customers and decide to keep them in a bucket!

I was wondering though... Would you get pulled over for not having the front plate on? Because I like how it looks with out the front plate...

Related issue:
I, too like how they look with no front plate, but here in NY I've already gotten one ticket ($175) for no front plate.
How would it look with the front plate moved over to the left side, on the wide part of the bumper? Any thoughts?

Front License Plate Solution

I wasn't quite sure where to post this so thought it might be a good fit here

I ran across these cool little product which might be the solution some of you are looking for for the front plate issue. It's a pretty cost efficient solution too. I ran across this little jewel when I was trying to find an electronic plate blocker.

Here is a youtube clip of it in action:

Anyone have any thoughts about this?
