I have had my TL for a few months. My front compartment, the one right below navigation/cd player, above the cigarette lighter/power output. It just does not hold. Does anyone know where the mechanism is that exactly holds this? I also wanted to know the best way to remove the compartment door without breaking anything because if I cannot fix it I will just remove it.

i would prefer to fix it myself since i might have done it.

 

You have to take out the entire center console and half of the dash to get to that part.
