Front bumper hole

There is a small removable disc-shaped cutout on the right part of the front bumper (about 1.5" in diameter). Does anyone know the reason for that small hole?

It's the tow hook cover.

There should be a hook that screws into it in the tool kit in the trunk. The manual says it's a temporary tow hook meant for pulling the car out of snow or whatever else it gets stuck in. It's not meant to pull the car at street speed for any period of time.
