Foglight connector problem

So I recently have swapped out my 04-06 headlights and installed 07 Type S headlights. I found out that 04-06 foglights are 9006 and 07-08 foglights are 9005.

It's not a straight plug and play because if you put in 9005 bulbs in the 07 headlight, the connectors don't match up, and if you try 9006 bulbs in the 07 headlight, the bulb obviously doesn't fit into the housing.

Is there any way to get around this? I tried keeping the 9006 and connecting it but the whole fog light bulb doesn't fit into the housing.

boo.

Is 9005 the same as H8? The 2007/2008 FOGS are H8.

Or are you meaning the 2007/2008 DRL's?

Can't help with the connectors. Not *only* am I mechanically inept, I am downright dangerous with regard to electricity.
