fog light bulbs exploded!!!

Did you clean them and then make sure not to touch them *at all* during installation. Halogen bulbs (supposedly) can explode if you get finger oils, grime, dirt, etc on them.
I got Nokya on ebay for ~$20 several months ago and they are just fine.

human skin oil gets on a glass bulb- extreme heat comes on and the oil fries on that spot- creating a hot spot- attracting more heat that quickly wears the bulb out and kablooooom!!
Always wear latex or rubber gloves - if you dont- at least wipe the bulb with a paper towel and rubbing alcohol- that pulls the oils back off and you are good to go
Be glad is wasnt a $150 set of low beams- and on the bay- some deals are not the bargain they seem
