flush Brake and Power Steering fluids

Well I took my TL-S 08 for service for 9k miles. They told the that I should change the The brake fluids the power steering fluids. I think the is very soon and i shouldn't be doing those chages so soon. I had a Jetta 01 and i did thar change like con 30k. Is this needed right know? Have you experience that?

Don't do it yet. It's too early. Just check the fluids and top-off for now.

after you complain to the service manager- also notify acura 1-800-382-2238 x5
Its one thing to take care of a car on schedule... and another to just make stuff up!

Reading the owner manual will answer all

Brake fluid starting at year 3 and then every year forever
If severe weather area- start changing brake fluid after 1 year
PS fluid- every 3 years is good

That's insane (unless the fluids are contaminated, in which case the warranty should take care of it).

01tl4tl missed one last step in his post above: then never go to that dealer again.

I think its a little early for those two fluids to need service. Sure you didnt misunderstand them? If they were pitching a B service to you than they would have mentioned those fluids to you but not asked you for any additional money.

Brake fluid should be changed after the 3 years the first time, then every year following. PS should be changed when it gets dirty.

whats the owner book got to say about it?

It never hurts to start changing brake fluid after the first year, or two- but definetly by year 3. see: hygroscopic and you will understand
Easy DIY project or brake shop can do it fine.

PS fluid 60k miles, early if you smell it and not so good anymore~
thats just my suggestion based on gen2- see your owner book
many of us fit the severe use description without even racing the car

thanks for the catch will~
I gues if I am going to lead someone step by step to the door,
it needs to be explained that the door has already hit them in the ---

and not to do biz at that dealer anymore

Go meet the staff at other dealers- for any warranty work and oil changes if competative priced
Find a private small import shop for basics or change your own oil

at 9k thats a little early. unless the brake fluid is black. now the power steering should be done at 15 k if needed.
