Thumbs down Fixing deep scratch

Hi, I'm new here and this is going to be my first post in for problem / fix section, forgive me if I haven't provide enough info to help you guys understand my situation.

So here's the story.

I drove my girlfriend's family home for this Christmas dinner which I have been pretty excited about since I don't have a single family member in the US. While I was parking, I heard a big crack sound from the curb side of my car, and at that moment I knew I just F my car up. After that I steppe out of the car and I see this:

Considering that I just clayed the entire car last night, I'm pretty upset about this, but I was going to get a polisher to do the detailing of my car and my gf's mom's car, so I guess I just gave my self a reason to buy a "Christmas gift" for myself.

Questions:

I've been watching videos and stuff on youtube and other web sites about how to buff your car and fix scratches.
First, I want to know which one polisher/buff can fulfill all my wishes.
1) fix the scratch
2) polish my car
3) wax my car

Second, I wonder where I can buy the WDP paint to do the scratch fixing job (If I need any). I'm assuming I may need to sand that part off.

Third, I actually found a couple products, just wondering if they might be able to help me with all the problems on my car now.
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/search_10...yword=polisher

Fourth, What does it mean by "Porter cable polisher", the 7424XP has been rated as a really nice product for newbies. true/false?

Please help me out here guys, school starts at Jan and I'm trying to get everything done before that.
Thanks all of you in advance.

If you can feel the scratch while running your fingernail over it, you can't buff it out.

What you have is not a scratch, though, it's a scrape.

You can make it look better by buffing it of course, but sorry man.

What I would do is buff out as much as possible, then use touch-up paint.

Touch-up paint can be bought at your Acura dealer.

Nice car, btw.

thanks man, maybe i should just get the side skirt..... wonder if i have to buy both side tho... it seems like it'd cost more to repair than replacing it..

The repair isn't that hard, or costy.

The worst thing you can do is have to get the side skirt repainted.

I'd just get estimates on how much to fix the scrapes for now, and ask them if it can be buffed out.

Too bad they are A-Spec sideskirts.
If they were the stock sideskirts, it would have been a nice time to upgrade to A-Spec sideskirts.

You can buy the a-spec side skirts pre-painted from acura so don't worry about it costing an arm and a leg. In all honesty, I'd keep the old ones and try to fix them up myself and get some practice at painting and what-not. That way you can have some experience and practice when you want to do custom mod's later down the road.

Hey I know a shop that would fix your side skirt for $60-70. He did a really good job on mine..I had a similar damage. heres his info.

http://www.yelp.com/biz/abc-auto-body-repair-ontario

his name is david. Just tell him johnny with a 04 silver TL refer you, and remove your side skirt and bring it to him. It'll be done in a couple days.

Since your car is white and it's the sideskirts, I would recommend getting the white honda spray-can and doing it yourself. It's cheap, fast, and easy. Just make sure you sand it down nicely before the paint.
