First problem 08 TL squeeking from belt
Love my 08 TL had it a few months now with not a single problem. 47kmiles Just yesterday on the way home from the Airport I heard some squeaking coming from a belt under the hood with low/no acceleration.
This video seems to describe my problem perfectly.
How much labor is involved in this repair? It seems the belt is only like $20.
I believe this is the fix/problem could someone verify? https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/there-diy-serpentine-belt-697723/
Dealer quoted $175 for parts and labor. Said same day service "it should take about an hour"

Was the dealer going to charge you $175 to change the drive belt?
You could probably get someone at an Autozone/Advance sort of car part store to change it for you in the parking lot. It takes just a few minutes and very little skill.
I prefer the Goodyear Gatorback belts, part should be 4060840 for your car. You can get ones for about $10-20, the Gatorback is probably a bit more.

the overexplainer
sounds like a dry bearing more than it does a belt squeak. Ditto the earlier suggestion and take a look at the drive belt tensioner while you're in there.

My '08 just hit 40K miles and last week as I was driving through a covered bridge I heard a similar sound. I took it to the dealer since I needed the power steering hose recall done anyway. They determined it to be a bad "drive belt tensioner". I hoped the powertrain warranty would cover it but not so. Original quote was $275 but they decided to cover 75% of the cost. Picked up the car last night and the sound is gone. Seems to be pretty common with these cars.
