First 07 TL-S Glitch

Hi Everyone,

I picked up a TL-S about a week and and a half ago. I've got about 700 miles now.

Anyways, today after I got out of work, I noticed my NavTraffic wasn't displaying. Went to the "Audio" menu on the screen, and noticed that the Touchscreen buttons at the top for XM1 and XM2 were missing... pushing the XM/Aux button on the radio also gave no response. Turned the car off and back on, XM buttons on the touchscreen returned, but when I tried to push them, it kinda froze up the radio, and it went back to its previous mode. Also, CD's don't seem to be reading well anymore. There's a lot of skipping (definitely not due to road conditions).

Anyone else experience anything similar? I called the dealer and I'm going to drop it off next Tuesday night.

Not yet, only a squeaking seat. Still love the car though

Not here either *knocks on wood*, 1 week old only problem I have so far is that I have a 1 1/2 inch cut on the sidewall my right front tire. Don't know how it got there because I didn't hit anything. I didn't even notice it until today when my nephew was putting tire shine on my tires and pointed it out. Going to drop it off at the dealership Monday to get the tire replaced.

Glitch

No glitches yet on mine....I'm from Seattle too. Haven't seen any other TLS's on the road yet.
I think the Nav system works very well. I've tested it thouroughly on Seattle roads. Twice this week though, the real time traffic showed green (clear traffic) on I-90 where there were big slowdowns. So I don't trust the real-time traffic. What dealer are you taking it back to in Seattle to repair your nav bug?

Well... went back out tonight and everything is now okay again. I guess I'll cancel my appointment for now. But I'll definitely keep an eye on it.

Vroom, I was going to take it down to Hinshaw, where I bought the car. I've noticed the NavTraffic isn't entirely accurate, also sometimes it just doesn't show up on the map (and I know it only works on certain zoom levels, so that's not it).

PMB - I've had the same issue with mine....no traffic colors showing up on the nav, even with the icon activating that its on and the zoom at the appropriate levels. This has happened to me twice I think. Not a big deal for me as I don't find the reports accurate anyway.

Okay... so XM Radio is working again, but NavTraffic has refused to work. XM has refreshed a couple times, even completely deactivated/reactivated the radio.

Taking it into the dealer to get it looked at. Bahhhhh. Also will have them check out the Subwoofer rattle.

Other than that, I love how the TL-S drives.

Update...
Dealer says XM unit is working fine... and that XM told them I'm not subscibed to the Nav Traffic service. I told them that XM assured me that both XM Radio and NavTraffic subscriptions/services were active... so looks like I'll have to call XM again.

Regarding subwoofer rattle, they said everything is tight/insulated and that it rattles because I have my bass and subwoofer turned up all the way (why make a system that can't handle the output allowed?!). This is BS, I can hear the rattle without the radio on, and when my volume is only on like 10 (out of the 40 max). I brought in the bulletin for previous subwoofer rattle, and they said it was 2004 only... So this angers me somewhat...

Did you figure out the problem? For the past two days, I couldn't get my NavTraffic to work in my TL either. I've only had my TL for a month. My XM radio works fine, but its just not displaying traffic.

xm radio issues

I'm having the same freakin problem in my 07 TL-S. The XM radio occasionally disappears from the AUDIO menu, as if it were not there. Turning the radio off
does not work,..the only fix is to turn off the ignition. I brought this to the dealer and they had no idea,...but were going to call their help line for an answer.
If ANYONE has a clue WTF is going on with this, please!!! HELP !!!!

I'm taking my car into the dealer tomorrow. The service tech said something about having to reset my Navi/XM or something like that. I don't think we are having the same problem but I'll let you know how it goes anyways.

My screen freezes up if I am using the NAV screen to input an address. The Real-Time is up and working at NAV start up but once and a while no display. Sometimes I do wish I could play the audio when talking on the HFL.

On the 07 MDX, the scale must be set at 1/2 or more to see traffic monitors. I would assume it's the same on the TL.

Yes, that is true. Mine stopped working after a month. Thought XM was supposed to be free for three. Going to take my car in, in about two hours. Hopefully they can fix the problem. Its not a big issue but it bugs the crap out of me.
