You have 59K on your TL so more than likely it's due for a transmission fluid change, however the interval appears to be way to long, its more like every 30K. Also when is the transmission shifting roughly, from first to second when accelerating slowly, or from 3rd to 4th?

Here are some basic things that can provide insight:

1. The transmission will shift a bit roughly when cold in the morning and when you accelerate very slowly. Also sometimes it will shift rough when you are going up or down any road with an incline, such as a hill or even an overpass.

Check your transmission fluid, if it's brown you'll be in a bit of trouble, if it's pinkish red you have a few things to look into. More than likely it's brown and the way to fix it will be a little more involved:
Replace 3 quarts of the fluid (all that will drain) and put in 3 new quarts of Honda Z1 transmission fluid. Also you will need to replace the pressure switches on the transmission.

You can't buy the acura warranty anymore, however you can buy a 3rd Party one. Call up your local dealer and see which ones they usually sell with used cars and which they prefer.

If this bad for the color of my transmission fluid?

I am doing a 3x3 and replacing 3rd and 4th sensors as soon as the parts come in. I am worried if using my car in the mean time could cause permanent damage. Any sugestions?

I could also do the 3x3 next weekend and do the sensors when they come in, which should be the weekend after. what you guys think?

Peace,

Rolan

no change everything at the same time, and just try not to drive as much or as hard.

you are going to need to change your fluid as it's light brown and no longer redish pink.

If it's shuddering it's best not to drive until you fix the problem. Shuddering is slipping and grabbing of the clutches. Auto trans clutches aren't designed to slip and will quickly burn up. Once the surface of the clutches is ruined from the shudder, the holding power will be permanently reduced. Keep in mind, if you damage the finish on the clutches such as glazing them they won't last as long even once the problem is fixed. I'm not trying to scare you but if you have a choice, don't drive it. If you have to drive it, manually shift and let off the gas when you shift it and don't apply the gas until it has made the shift sort of like a manual.

I just had the fluid flushed on mine by the dealer, one change I believe, and it is smooth when warm, but when cold it shifts a bit rough other than that it seems fine. 32k miles I think that is just a normal trait when it's cold. My 06 TL did similar when cold.
