Failed Torque Dapener

My XLR8 ETD has broken off at the top after about 17k miles of use. Does anyone have any idea what would cause this? The motor mounts were replaced the same day the ETD was installed.

I'll post a photo in about an hour.

ALSO, damper NOT dapener...

As far as I know it just failed under normal usage. I took the car to the drag strip once about 7 months ago. I will usually row through a couple gears at vtec once or twice a week, but nothing serious. I don't launch, burnout, or street race.

I think mine failed once...but I don't think it was due to anything breaking. In my case, if I remember right, vibrations just caused things to jiggle and I didn't heed previous warnings from this site about using blue loctite on the threads.
