Extremely loose steering when driving >50MPH

Hello,
I just changed my winter tires 16" (my self) last weekend to the stock tires and rims (see avatar for rims) for the 07. I didn’t rotate the tires, and the tires are in the same plan they were last year no left, right mixup.

I noticed that the steering is stiff when driving slow but when i am driving >50mph the steering wheel is extremely loose, and has a mind of its own. If I hit a pothole or the road is unevenly to the left or right the steering wheel flys to the uneven side because it is so lose, its become a constant fight since I changed tires...

This is my first luxury/sporty' car I would assume stiffer steering at high speeds would make more sense, and be safer..

Its reminding me of my 97 Accord. Is this all a wheel alignment problem? Or something more like power steering?

if everything was ok BEFORE you mounted your wheels...then it's something that happened when you mounted them.

make sure lugs are actually torqued to spec.

are your tires directional only? make sure they're all facing the correct direction.

do you have hub adapaters with the other wheels? if so, did you remember to take them off before mounting the OEM wheels?

think back and retrace your steps.

Overtorquing the lug nuts is bad too.

IIRC, the lug nuts should be torqued to 80lbs.

Also check your tire pressure.

Get a wheel alignment if everything else appears in good order-- an alignment issue can account for the loose feeling up front.

I have similar issues with my stock rims and Potenza tires. Did you notice these symptoms when you were riding on your stock 17s or did you immediately switch to winter tires? I should add that I bought my car recently and mechanics say everything looks good. I'm thinking its the rubber...
