There are countless threads on this happening, but I can't determine what the sound is coming from. It SEEMS to be coming from one of the rear spark plugs, but i'm not 100%. What do you guys think?

Check all spark plugs fast. Bad things happen when they eject

 

Sounds like the purge solenoid to me.....normal in my books

 

I've heard that it could be both...i'll check the spark plugs, but I'm not 100% that they are causing the noise. I know that if a spark plug were to have a major mishap, the check engine light would come on, which it hasn't. I had the car checked out by a mechanic friend (he works on primarily BMW/MINI), and he said it could be either the fuel injectors or porge solenoid, but he wasn't 100%.

I think I've had this sound for as long as Ive owned the car.
