Hey y'all I got this engine squeeking problem. I changed my serpentine belt, tensioner pulley and P.S. o-rings and seals and that didn't fix it, so today I decided to take the belt off and run the engine and to my surprise the engine is still squeeking. This is scaring the hell out of me, what can be squeeking in there??

 

how many miles? could be the timing belt tensioner

 

Thanks for the response 04TL, is there any other possible thing that could be causing that or is that it? Also how serious is this? I have 137k miles and haven't done the timing belt job, I guess I have to do that real soon. I don't recall it being said that the changing the tensioner is part of that job, does anyone know if it is?

 

i would do the timing belt stuff as soon as you could .. make sure you get a new tensioner and water pump

ekx, do the timing belt service soon! I just did mine today and I was at 148k..so that makes me even worst than you lol.

I had the squeaking sound also, but its gone now.
