Engine noise help

Any help is greatly appreciative.

First problem: I have a noise that is specifically at 2k rpm, when I get to 2300 and higher it goes away, and is not present at lower rpm.

Second problem: tapping/ticking noise at idle and running. It is coming from passenger side of engine towards front between tire and front corner area.

I recently had all new belts and timing belt service completed 13,000 miles ago.

Thanks in advance

is there a DIY for replacing the tensioner?

I can not seem to find one, is this something that is a mechanic only fix?

went to dealer today, he check all the pulleys and it is easy to see the serpintine tensioner is jumping back and forth.

I also asked about the 2k rpm noise, he said he gets it a lot. I can't remember exactly what he called it but has to do with at what point a valve opens up and the carbon is pushed through???? he said it is nothing to worry about, it will not affect the performance.

Anyone else have additional info on the 2000 rpm "noise"??

and is $270 a good price for the tensioner to be replaced? I had my timing belt service 12k ago. ($350 quote from acura, $270 from Honda)

The part is less than $75 aftermarket and is really easy to put on. This is a super easy job - I would try a non-dealer repair shop.

Is it an easy DIY??? I did the one on my wifes Pathfinder but it was super easy to get to. this one does not look quite as easy.

I have a customer that owns a shop, he gave me a quote of $220 for tensior, pulley, and belt.

and I was told by Acura that the whole tensioner and pulley needs replacing. Acura said the part was $135, Honda said $165......

you would think these two places would be relatively in quotes but never are.
