Good afternoon,

I have a 2008 Type S and last night I was in a parking lot on my phone, I shut the car off as I was going to be a while. I turned the car back on too drive home and my engine light came on with code PO171 on my navi. I have done a search on here and got some good info, but everyone has a total different opinion on what it could be. I have not taken the car to Acura yet, I just wanted too gather more info before I take it in, so I know what they will rip me off for...LOL.

Any help would be appreciated , I'm in Canada, but my Tl is a US car with 68000 miles on it, I haven't noticed any loss in performance, but also have not really driven the car much since last night.

i had same problem last week, after day and a half check engine light was gone, but the code is still stored in message screen on my navi. If i were you, i would not worry about it. I bought my car half year ago, at that time when i bought my car i checked messages and it had same message on 2009.

Same thing happened to my '08 TL-S with 70k yesterday.

I'll ask for the software update to fix this.

Could this be triggered by the sub-zero temps?
