So my type-a has been doing this little knocking when rpms go up. It only happens like when I step on the gas or when I turn on the car. If I stop on a stop sign or red light, and then right after step on the gas it does the little knock. Like I said it only happens when I accelerate and it goes away once I’m on the road. Any idea what could it be?

 

Try using premium gas.

 

Is it more like a clunk that you can feel? Could be engine mounts , control arms, or a whole bunch of things. What has been serviced on it?

 

So I just changed the spark plugs and did an oil change. So if I do a regular stop and then accelerate you hear the knock for like just that second I press the gas and then it goes away.
