Hi All- I'm hoping to get your opinion on a noise I'm hearing from my engine compartment. It's an 04 TL with 150k miles. I've recently been hearing a rhythmic chatter noise. It gets faster when I press the gas pedal and slows down when I slow down. This pattern happens whether I'm in Park or Drive. I initially thought it might be the valves that need adjustment. What do you think?

It very well could use a valve adjustment if its never been done and the car has 150K miles. I plan to have mine adjusted in a few thousand miles once I reach 105K. Keep in mind that some valve chatter is a normal characteristic of our engines. But it wouldn't surprise me if your car is due for an adjustment.
