So the other day it was really wet out ..... I drove to the gym and my car was fine. When I finished at the gym, my car wouldn't start. I had somebody jump the car and I drove to the dealer. baierl said the battery field the load test and they replaced the battery for me right then. So I drive home and every thing's normal. The next day I notice that blue tooth no longer works. Also, that the auto function on both the windows no longer works. Later that day I restart the car and the blue now works, but the windows still don't. The next day the auto window worked on both windows. Today It only works on the driver's window............... Can anyone explain what just happened?

I checked the rest of the electrical stuff and as far as I can tell it's fine.

Don't have an awnser for bluetooth, but for the windows, the auto function is enabled by holding the button all the way up then all the way down for it to remember. Once the battery is disconnected it forgets the auto function.

 

Amazing! I had the same problem happen to me and just posted about it before reading yours (08 Battery died). It had also rained pretty hard here the night before. Hope I also can get a new battery but without the other electrical gremlins. Did they let you know what actually caused the failure?

 

hey oswald, they told me that the battery had a dead cell and said it was normal since the battery was 4 years old. The invoice says it failed the load test. Fortunately the electrical gremlins have finally gone back into hiding. It is weird though with the rain.

 

My battery checked out fine and I haven't had a problem since. Talk about weird. I could see it with your battery but my car is only 8 months old. I'm just afraid that whatever caused it the first time may come back and leave me stranded somewhere.

 

I recently had to jump start my car as well. It was totally dead after sitting for 6 days. Since i jumped it, my KP Technologies window up module is not working at all, and my DICE unit wont work in the clock display anymore. It still works on the nav screen, but only says DICE or NO INFO on the clock display. Weird

 

Someone told me that after the battery dies it takes a while for the ecu to remember how to work everything. However, at the same time, I wonder if water got into the door and shorted something out.

How long hasn't you window upgrade worked for? Have you taken a look at it?

Yeah, an 8 month old battery definitely shouldn't be going bad.

 

the window switch got damaged from the wetness outside. this will make the battery go dead. keeps the door multiplex to stay on which is in the switchs. hfl units fry up all the time . it will need to be replaced.
