Electric problems

i put an led strip in the other day, wired it to my existing ambient footwell lights. this morning i get in my car and both sidemarkers dont work, liscense plate lights dont work, and wen i start it cold the engine cranks slow and the gauges flash. all over 1 frickin led strip...? any ideas lmao

you blew a fuse. check all your fuses one by one. disconnect your neg battery cable in the future before working with lighting/electronics in the car.

check fuses under hood and under steering column.

dam beat me to it yea i blew fuse #4 under the hood, so just disconect the battery and im good? i dnt need get a higher amp fuse right...

disconnect the battery, yank out that fuse and put in a fresh one. then see if everything operates accordingly.

you don't need a higher amp fuse.

ight ty, i almost hada heart attack, was no way i was removing all my leds and going to the dealership.

not a problem, nick.

it's usually a fuse that blows when working with that sort of stuff. always start there in the future.

indeed was just strange cus i was working in the interior and the exterior lights went out.

^cars do some crazy things when you mess with the electrical system. like they just self destruct and things just start acting up...all bc of a stupid little fuse.
