easy Sub Rattle Fix

I was bored and found out an easy way to fix the rattle from the sub. Fill the hole before the light in the trunk with a small little peice of a rag. Fill the hole on the side of the ending of the car. like youll see in the second pic

Now do the same thing for the hole after the light. youll see in the pics.

So, pretty much will all the holes? Do you put enough rags to make it really snug?

This helped, but I narrowed my problem to that clip right under the trunk light. I taped it down w/ some really strong tape in our shop and on top of that, i cut out a piece of cardboard and taped on top of it and closed everything up.

no more rattle! *knock on wood*

Could you be a bit more specific about which clip? also, you closed up all the holes, completely air tight?

The white plastic clip....you'll see it if you take out the trunk light, its right above its hole. I just tore up shipping foam and stuck it in there...its not air tight.

To stop my sub rattle, I put a small rag behind my sub where the glass meets the deck. Problem solved. The only thing is... its a rag hahaha and you can see it from outside. Oh well it stopped the annoying rattle.

Your Acura dealer has a TSB for Sub Rattle and can repair it perfectly. I also had used a small piece of cardboard between the rear panel and the glass and it worked. All I did was go to the dealer with the TSB printed out and they took care of it. No more cardboard needed and no rattle !

The TSB is noted for 2004, and I believe I have the same rattle on my 2007 TL-S, do you think they'll perform the TSB on my car?

They should.....but I took my 2006 in with the tsb and the dumb ass tech said it only applied to 04 models and didn't fix it yet.

on the TBS it says - applies to 2004 - ALL, so I would assume 2004 and up. Give it a try one more time
