Dual Mass Flywheel Disc Play?

Dual Mass Flywheel Disc Play?
Is there supposed to be up and down movement in the flywheel discs for these dual mass clutches?
The flywheel I have has some turn in movement which I hear is normal, but it also has up and down movement if i were to pull up slightly on it, I would say maybe a 1/4-1/2 inch or so. Curious if this was normal or something that should be replaced.
I have searched numerous forums and manuals with no actual spec or definitive answer. Thanks for any help.
