Hello everyone, I'm new here and will try to describe my issue. I have a 2005 TL .. so the other day i entered my car, closed the door and started my car. I then went to lower my window. As soon as i touch the window button i heard an awful crunching sound and my window disappeared before my eyes ... it just dropped to the depths of "i don't know where" right before my eyes.

Ok long story short, found great instructions for removing the door panel ... so perfect i even broke the green plastic clip like the instructions said i would .. no biggie ... i reached into the door frame to find many pieces of pulley type contraption and a spring!

I can not find instructions on how to replace/repair the electric window mechanism ... The big question now ... Do I replace the door from a wrecker or take it in and have it repaired professionally?

In the meantime , thank you everyone for keeping it dry til i fix this ...

 

If I follownyournpost it sounds like the power window actuator died/fell apart. It might be that the window itself got off track. In either case, I don't see the need to replace the entire door.
