Driver's Side Window Problem
Driver's Side Window Problem
I'm sure there is something on this topic somewhere, but I couldn't find it. I have an 04 TL, and the other day when I got in my car and rolled the windows down, my drivers side window made a weird sound and all I could do was roll it down. Now I can't get it to go back up.
I thought that the window fell off the track or something, because I can hear the motor whining. I took the door panel off and the window looks like its still on track, but this is the first time I have ever tried messing with the window.
Does anyone know of a tutorial on how to fix this problem? What the hell is the problem in the first place!?! I'm assuming the motor is fine, but am I right?
Thanks in advance, and I apologize if there is already a thread dealing with this topic.

I found what made the sound, and it was a puck shaped plastic piece falling out of place. It is threaded on the outside with an eight petaled flower pattern inset that attaches to the driving cog on the motor. I would attach a picture, but the picture icon is asking for a link and I don't know what this piece is called. It looks like its in good shape, so can I just reattach it or am I screwed and have to buy new parts? Any help is appreciated.
