Drivers side projector stuck on high beam

As some of you may or may not know, I recently took apart my headlights and painted the projector shields.

...the entire thread is here.

I was very diligent and careful. Everything went back together as it should. No extra parts, pieces, or screws left over. I taped off everything. There is no paint on any joint, spring, or solenoid. And I'm pretty sure when I finally put it back on and the tested lights everything worked 100%.

Well last night I realized that the drivers side projector is stuck in high beam mode. FYI, the four 7.5a fuses for the hi's and low's are fine.
  • Low beam is default, for the shield/solenoid, correct?
  • The solenoid has to have constant 12v power to keep it pushed down like that? Unless it's stuck...
  • Are there relays on this system to activate the solenoid?
  • Is it the solenoid that makes the noise or is it the lever shield part being moved that makes the noise?
  • There isn't anything in there that it could physically get wedged on, is there?
Desperately searching for a resolution that doesn't involve me taking the light apart again.

IIRC, the fogs should not come on if the high beam is activated.
test to see if you can turn on the fog

I did Rogers independent mod a while ago on my fogs. So complete control with stock switch.

What does that have to do with the hi beam being on all the time? Lol

well, it would help diagnose if it was a solenoid problem..
but since youve done the independent...

The fogs don't have anything to do with the D2S projectors, correct? Not even fuses. Lol

^The two lever looking pieces in the pic above. They get pushed down by the solenoid to enable high beam mode (__/------\__). Normally, as they are in the photo, they sit up and that creates the low beam (___/----).

My drivers side is stuck in high beam.

Here is a quick, poor quality video of the issue...

Sorry I can't get embedding to work. Can we embed FB videos here? AZ, did you update your templates?!?!

FYI. I tried it with and without the fuse in there. Same thing. So I believe that implies it is physically stuck that way.
