Driver side axle

I changed the driver side axle on my 04 TL, but now when i turn left while driving the rpm goes up like if it had a bad transmision.
Before the old one went bad the transmision was fine.
could axle not have gone all the way in? Any suggestions? While driving forward and making right turns car drives like before.

I had my driver side axle replaced by the dealer. Two days later much of my transmission fluid ran out on the highway while driving and my car died on side of road. Towed to dealer and they said that the batch of axles had a defect and did not seat correctly. They replaced with new axle. Two days later the same thing occurred. Replaced again and now is fine. I had them document in their system and on my paperwork the details so if my transmission went belly up, they would be replacing on their dime. No problems after 30,000 miles, so I think that I am OK. Not sure if this is the same issue, but be aware that at least according to my dealer there are some problems with the parts. Hope that helps.

any way to tell the bad from the good?
Do they have different part numbers?

Not sure. I suspect that they may have used an after market assembly and then after the second try used new Acura stock. The part number on the first invoice is not listed, but on the final repair the part number is correct PN: 44306-SEP-A10. According to service manager they found a "deformity" that caused axle to pull out of transmission causing leak.

Just another example of why everyone should learn to do some basic repairs. I wish that I had learned more when I was younger. If Acura was going to use aftermarket, why not ask me and give a price difference. I assumed new Acura parts. My bad. I only feel comfortable doing brakes and other basic maintenance. Luckily with all of the Acura's that I have had, never really needed much in the way of repairs. Perhaps if I owned a Ford.....
