Driver’s side window keeps going down when window switch is flipped up.

Driver’s side window keeps rolling back down
when window switch is flipped up.
I talk to the mechanic and they said the module may need
to be replaced. It’s something about window controller.

But this start happening years ago after I got my window tint.
The tint guy did some adjustment, it went away and it came back again.

I need to hold the switch up to roll up.
I should be able to flipped switch up and should automatically just roll up.

Any ideas?

it could be that whatever your tinter did, created pressure on the actual window pane. Our cars have a feature where if your hand gets caught in the window, the window will sense the pressure and roll back down. See if the tinter maybe did something to the rubber lining in the window. My guess would be it is being squeeze too hard

i wonder if the window switch has a calibration method like the sunroof glass does.

What also could have happened is that the solution they use to apply the tint got all over the inside and into the switch and fouled it up.

My window did that and the window regulator had to be replaced under warranty. It has a safety feature so you dont smash your kids fingers in the window. Also dirt or other obstructions in the window track will cause this. Same applies to the sunroof.

This is true. it's caused by the window motor portion of the assy. there is a micro switch in the motor to reverse operation if an obstruction is detected. though sometimes reprogramming the auto feature will eleviate this issue for a bit it usually comes back and a regulator/motor is need for said window.
