Well today i went to autozone and bought the passenger side axle. Im taking the car this weekend to the shop for the axle (G-SP) installment and alignment. Ill keep you guys posted.
oh i forgot to mention that after the driver side axle was installed the car did run alot smoother than before. So i know i'm on the right track. My vehicle has 99k miles

Im not sure if someone mentioned this already and I missed it, but has anyone noticed the difference in Acura's prices for the left side axles for the Auto and M/T TLs? I heard someone mention that they're interchangeable and was just wondering why one would be ~220 and the other ~320. Could it be that the demand for the auto one is greater? Can anyone verify whether the part numbers are the same?

I think it does. I have an 07 Type S and i have the same problem. I found a service bulletin for 04 TL's saying it's an issue that needs the install of an engine dampener that is covered under warranty. i'm about to bring it into my acrua dealership with a print out of the bulletin and see if the 07 is covered as well. If i could attach a file on here i would post the PDF from acura but <shurg>

I have a 2007 TL-S and also noticed some strange vibrations throughout the driveline. It is worse in the 3rd and 5th gears (I think). Other times it is smooth as it should be. Gonna do some testing driving home tonight putting it into N and back. Gotta hit up that original warranty before it expires.

I did some initial road testing and it appears I do have the driveline vibration from 1500-2k RPM. It only happens when accelerating mainly within that range but if I let off the gas pedal, it disappears. From reading the last few pages of this thread, that pretty much rules out any tire related issues. I can feel it in most gears but it is most noticeable in 5th.

ok my vibration seems to be speed related. i have a noticeable shake at 80mph that disappears closer to 100 mph so i think i might have a balance issue i will get my wheels balanced and c if that fixes anything otherwise i might be in the same boat as u

I dropped off my TL to the Bridgewater Acura yesterday to address the drivetrain vibrations and A/B pillar rattles as well as the passenger airbag indicator lighting up when a passenger is present. I'll let you guys know what they did to fix it if they they fixed it. If not I'll bring it right back.

please let us know what you find out. I have a slight front-end vibration that I haven't been able to figure out as well. I've tried three different sets of wheels/tires, front end alignment, and plan to have the motor mounts replaced next week. The shop is telling me that the front mount is shot, so I am going to have all three replaced.
I am also being told that the front axles check out okay, but I am not ruling it out, because it definitely feels like it's in the drivetrain. I am lost as to what it could be and will probably take it to the stealership after the mounts are installed.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go ahead and order them... I'll get to the bottom of it at some point. Did you purchase OEM axles and what did it cost you to have them replaced? I am debating whether or not to have it done by a friend or take it to the dealer.

Picked up the car from the dealer today and nothing fixed. They told me they rebalanced the front wheels. I smiled and told him that's not going to fix it. I told him it's a mix between the engine damper and engine mounts. He told me "We've never had to replace engine mounts on a 07". I just smiled and walked out. I'll be going back next week with the bulletin printed out maybe that will help. Also they need to look into the power steering hose recall since I can't find any record of it being replaced.

Does anyone know for sure if the damper is stadard for the 06+ models or does the TSB still apply? The bulletin seems to list the 04 and some 05. I guess I can look underneath to see if it's there on mine, but it seems based on the number of people complaining with 05+ TLs that maybe they didn't install (from the factory) on these as well.

I dropped off the car today and did a test drive with the tech. Really great tech who said he had seen this before and was able to feel the driveline vibration just as I described. He said he will be performing the TSB for the dampener first and then another test drive.
Stay tuned!

**Update**
I spoke with the service advisor and they said the TSB I provided for the dampener is already installed on the later model vehicles. Acura central tech told them this is a normal characteristic of this car. The local technician said he drove another car with the same vibration feeling. The advisor then said they can't do nothing more than what is advised of them so no axle replacement. Also, they said this is being researched and if it comes to it, Acura will do a recall later. They had no answer when I asked why every vehicle does't have this normal characteristic.
This sounds like a we can't fix it so fcuk off statement. I wasn't expecting this. Not sure what else to do. Maybe I can replace the axles or mounts myself and see if that helps.

**Update 2**
Picked up the car and the service advisor seemed to be helpful but couldn't really do much more. If Acura says it is within a certain range of what they deem 'normal', then the dealerships hands are tied. I asked if I replace some parts on my own to fix the issue, if there would be any recourse with Acura, they said no unless Acura initiated something. She said you can bring the car back later if it gets worse and they could possibly bring out an engineer to drive it and escalate it to the regional manager.
Guess we just have to live with it.

Not likely man, this is a shop in hialeah...although there is probably a mexican version of this city in cali...lol.
Ps all...so I had a thought and so far I think I'm right...when they balance, whether high speed or road force the machine assumes your camber is at zero...so after many times off getting my 19's rebalanced...i thought what if the slight vibration feeling I was getting thru the steering wheel above 65 was from the bigger tim with less rubber spinning off its axis...installed a no name front adjustable ball joint to give some positive camber and on the highway today, even after no alignment I can say that the mystery vibration is gone...
Figured if it didn't work at least is still help preserve tires...
God luck all

all who've replaced your axles please post results...
i just recently picked up a used '06 w/ 60k miles and I am having this vibration issue and it makes me disgusted...the '07 ridgeline I had before this was smooth as butter on the road and now I'm driving what is supposed to be an entry level luxury car w/ brand new tires may I add, that has a most aggravating vibration right at the highway speeds that I drive....
seems like alot of people are replacing the axles...I'd like to know if this is solving the problem? helping it? are the OEM axles flawed or just wearing out?
my next step was to swap wheels/tires w/ a friend who has a g35 just to see if I noticed the vibration worse/better...as I was thinking that maybe I had a bent wheel or improperly balanced tire, although from reading through here I think I have a problem that many many others do as well...
