Drip molding replacement

The drip moldings on my car need to be replaced.

One has a dent in it that looks awful and the other has deteriorated rubber. I just called the dealership and these two thin peices cost 113 before tax...

Anyone aware of some drip moldings I can get for cheaper?

The drip moldings are basically the peices that run from the bottom of your windshield and run along the roof of the car to the top of the back window.

I think those are $78 each from acuraoemparts.com: http://www.acuraoemparts.com/delray/...t&ListAll=Part

You might want to check the AZ vendors here too; I don't recall if a couple also sell body parts.

i hate those moldings, they are a real pain in the butt to remove without bending and then wont lay flat if slightly bent.

install the new ones perfectly the first time so as to not have to remove to reposition.

Next question. I notice they sale "shoes" and "seals." I would definitely like to try to just replace the seal on one side while keeping the molding...the other one with the dent will need to be fully replaced...does anyone know if the seal they sell for this is easily replaceable?

Does anyone know what a "shoe" is?

I am guessing the shoe is some sort of clip that adheres to the molding and securely clips in to the car.
