Okay so I don't know if anyone else has/had this problem but here it goes. On the silver trim along the console and navigation on the drivers side it started to bubble and some clean top coat stuff flaked off (sorry no pictures) . Anyway just wondering if anyone else had this problem? My car is at the dealership and they have replaced it so we will see how this one holds up. Also when you open the drivers door it would somewhere make a creaking noise when it would get to the door stops (where the door holds itself open) and so they replaced the "door checker" whatever the hell that it. We shall see if it stops the problems . Anyone else with either of these problems?

 

The door checker is the part you can see when you open your door. It is the black piece about 2/3 from the bottom of the door.

My 05 Navi TL driver's door has the creaking noise. I was hoping that it just needed greese. I guess I will be getting my door checker replaced next time I am in for service.

No problems with the trim pieces. However, I tend to keep my car in the garage at work and in the carport at home.
