Door Rattle

I know people speak of the TL rattle issues. I have an 06 TL 6MT. I noticed my doors kinda rattle to the bumbes on the road. kinda "kreaking" noises and just movements inside the car. Is this common and would warrantee cover this??

I already got the rear deck platform redone do to the heavy rattle from the sub.

You can take it in under warranty. Worth a shot, the worst that can happen is they don't fix it and you still have the rattle.

i had some rattles so i bought some thick felt and cut it up in to little strips and carefully jammed it between all the trim pieces. it still makes some noise especially during the morning when the temps are changing from cold to warm, but it is much better.

your rattle inthe door might be due to the window linkage hitting inside of door panel.Mine does it mainly when window is down.

I think when it comes to Acura and rattles it is a hit or a miss whether your are going to have them or not; had a 06 TL with absolutely no rattles or noises what so ever, have a 08 TL that has had three separate rattle issues, none of which Acura has been able to addressed without ripping the entire car apart and replacing those components, i.e. moonroof, front dash, passenger/driver front doors, and center console and I don't trust a dealership to do any of that

knowing their tract record they would probably make things worse; bottom line is that certain cars are not put together and assembled properly at the factory and so we get the recieving end of it with a car with loose pieces that cause these rattle noises

so glad I leased this car rather than buy it so that after two more years I don't have to deal with it anymore; it's a shame because this car has more rattle problems then my friends Nissan's, Honda's, and Toyota's which are older and have many more miles on it then my TL does

as time goes on, this 08 seems to be getting worse and worse with noise issues and anytime I go over any kind of pothole or even mild road imperfections the car sounds like it is coming apart and loosening up all over the place

like I said though my 06 TL had none of these issues and I was quite pleased with it, reason why I got my 08 so I don't hold it completely against Acura, they just need to improve the quality control of their US plants; had a 09 TSX loaner car a few weeks ago with more miles then my TL and I turned the radio off when I drove it and didn't hear a single peep out of it the whole time I had the car!

Just bought mine a month ago .. 06 tl with 55,000km. Rattles coming out of everywhere. Have a 2000 Camry with 300,000km, no rattles.

Agree with smarty, but I'll probably end up selling this and never going back to Acura. But its a fun car gotta admit !!

Ditto the punching. I do it out of frustration at times and strangely when I do it, I think it'll actually help, but does it?....no!
